Description
A wood veneer refers to thin slices of wood that are typically glued onto blockboard core panels. These slices are usually thinner than 3mm (or 1/8 of an inch) and can be cut as thin as 0.6mm.
In furniture, wood veneers give the appearance of an all-wood piece, when in reality only the surface is taken from natural wood.
Wood veneer furniture pieces use a minimal amount of natural wood, making them more affordable and environmentally friendly. Wood veneers are also less prone to the splintering and warping that can come from an all-wood design.
Veneered Blockboard can also be used in upholstery, shelving, interior decoration, joinery solutions, bench tops.
